8/2/16 - McAteer is a 6-foot-2 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class.  He ran a 7.35 60 and has an exit velo of 80 mph.  At the plate, balanced set up, leg kick, quick bat speed, level path through hitting zone, swing produced consistent pull side line drives during batting practice, feel for the barrel, singled to left in game action.  On the infield, 80 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event, over the top release, athletic footwork, clean exchange and momentum through the catch, accurate throws.

6/7/16 - McAteer is a 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in from Christian Brothers College in St. Louis.  He ran a 7.31 60 and a 4.93 home-to-first.  He has an 81 mph exit velo.  At the plate, balanced stance, controlled leg lift to stride, aggressive and quick bat speed, showed power to pull side, gap-to-gap approach.  On the infield, 76 mph positional velo, over the top arm slot, athletic footwork to the ball, momentum through the catch, clean glove to hand transfer, mostly accurate throws with carry.

2/15/16 - McAteer is a 6-foot-1 220-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class.  He ran a 4.15 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 79 mph.  At the plate, solid consistent contact gap-to-gap, power to pull side, thin and open stance, controlled leg kick with rhythm, quick bat speed, good round of batting practice.  On the infield, 82 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick feet with momentum through catch, clean transfer, carry on throws, mostly accurate.

10/11/15 - McAteer is a 6-foot-1 167-pound right-handed hitting 2B/SS in the 2017 class.  He ran a 7.57 60 and has a 72 mph exit velo.  At the plate, starts open and closes off during stride with leg kick, power to pull gap, quick hands, accelerated bat during swing, stays balanced, 4.60 home to first. On the infield, Over the top release, plays behind the ball and through catch, momentum towards 1B, clean exchange with fluid footwork, 75 mph positional velo, mostly accurate
