2015 Second Team All-Ozark Conference Pitcher
KC Preseason: The lanky 6-foot, 155-pound Wiley continues to progress his skills throughout his participation at PBR events, and it has not gone unnoticed. On the mound, his fastball is now topping at 85-mph, up from the 82-mph we saw in the fall. He comes from a high ¾ arm slot with fast arm speed and a long, loose arm, and maintains that arm speed with his off-speed pitches. Wiley’s breaking ball had tight spin and sharp 10-to-4 shape, thrown in the 70-73 mph range. He also threw his change up in the 72-75 mph range with arm side movement.  On the outfield, Wiley impressed with his arm speed, showing some carry on his throws, with a top throw of 85-mph.

KC Prospect ID: Wiley is a 6-foot, 150-pound two way player who has a high ceiling as he continues to fill out his frame. On the mound, Wiley comes from a high 3/4 arm slot with quick arm speed and some rhythm, showing repeatable mechanics. His fastball sat 80-81 mph, topping at 83-mph with hard cut action. He also showed a sharp 11-to-5 breaking ball (67-69) with near fastball arm speed and a 71-74 mph change up with arm side run and down in the zone.  Wiley also showed to be an effective player in the outfield, taking good routes to the ball and playing through with strong accurate throws in the 81-83 mph range. At the plate, Wiley showed fast bat speed and takes an uphill path to the ball, showing the ability to pull. Wiley ran a 7.37 60 and had a top exit velo of 75-mph.

All State Invitational: Wiley is a wiry 5-foot-11, 140-pound right-hander who showed long, loose arm action on his pitches.  Wiley comes from a high ¾ arm angle and has quick arm speed.  Wiley’s fastball sat 80-81 mph, topping out at 82 and showed some late cut movement. His 66-69 breaking ball had late, sharp movement with an 11-to-5 shape. Wiley also threw a 71-75 mph change up that was down in the zone and thrown for a strike. Wiley has a projectable frame and should see a spike in velocity as he continues to mature physically.
