11/8/14 - McCauley is a strong, well-built 6-foot-1 185-pound right-handed pitcher. Works at 79-82 mph with fastball (one of the top velos for the event), high ¾ release, 12-to-6 shaped CB at 67-70 mph, late break, good feel, shows command of 69-71 mph slider, swing and miss pitch, change-up at 76-78 mph, fastball arm speed. Overall, throws with regular effort, tall and fall style, smooth rhythm, square landing. At the plate, starts in a balanced position, has small leg kick, smooth load, lands square, quick bat speed, power to pull gap, gap-to-gap line drives during BP,  balanced throughout swing, 88 mph exit velo, runs a 7.03 60 and a 4.41 home-to-first.  Defensively, fluid footwork, fluid exchange, high 3/4 release, accurate throws with life, soft hands, gets to the ball with a purpose, 85 mph positional velo.
2/23/14 – McCauley is 6-foot, 185-pound RHP.  McCauley was 79-80 MPH with his fastball and 63-67 MPH with his curveball that had a sharp break.  He showed a change-up with at near fastball arm speed at 71-72 MPH.  McCauley has a ¾ release and a loose arm action.
2/23/14 – McCauley is a solid 6-foot, 185-pound outfielder.  McCauley has a line-drive approach with good extension.  He has a simple load and good rhythm during his swing.  His 82 MPH exit velo was one of the tops for outfielders. Defensively, McCauley is aggressive getting to the ball and had good accuracy with his throws. He showed a strong arm with an 82 MPH positional velo.  He has a clean exchange and loose arm action .  He runs a 4.66 home-to-first.
6/19/13:McCauley is an athletic 6-foot, 170-pound two way player. In the outfield, he shows athletic movements to the ball with good footwork and a clean exchange. McCauley has long arm action with some accuracy and a top throw of 75-mph. At the plate, McCauley has some rhythm with a level swing and extension through contact and ability to hit the ball gap-to-gap. Due some discomfort in his back McCauley’s pitching was cut short, but left us wanting us to see more when he is completely healthy.

11/3/12: The lanky 5-foot-10, 160-pound McCauley showed well in all facets of his game. In the outfield, McCauley showed good footwork and effort to the baseball while playing through the ball with short arm action. He recorded a top throw of 77-mph. Offensively; McCauley has a slightly crouched stance with a short stride. His swing remains level throughout with extension through contact and a one handed finish, hitting the ball gap to gap.


7/18/12: McCauley is an athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound player who showed versatility in the outfield and at third base. In the outfield, when he was aggressive to the ball, McCauley showed the ability to get to the ball quickly and show a strong arm (77 mph) with some carry. In the infield, McCauley showed fundamental footwork and sure hands, with accurate 70-73 mph throws across the diamond. At the plate, McCauley has a balanced set up and is short and quick to the baseball. He demonstrated good control, swing looseness, and extension through contact as he sprayed line drives to all fields.
