Positional Profile: RHP/1B. Athletic delivery and quick arm
Body: 5’11”, 160 pounds. Long limbs and thin frame
Delivery: Small rocker to the side and easy turn to balance. Slightly closed at balance as the back side loads. Lands on-line and square. Good extension
Arm Action: RH. Long, strong arm swing. High-3/4 slot. Good arm speed.
FB: T82, 79-82 mph. 1740 - 1820 rpm. Strike thrower. Down zone. Good feel for arm side
CB: 69-75 mph. 1778 - 1873 rpm. Late 11/5 bite with feel. Pounded zone.
SL: 71-76 mph. 1250 - 1250 rpm. .
CH: 76 mph. 1335 - 1420 rpm. Solid arm speed. Straight with feel for down zone
Lanky frame at 5 foot 11, 160-pounds. Has feel for his body and rhythm. Loose hips and a loose whippy arm suggest more is coming in the near future. Good angle to the fastball with sink to both sides of the plate. Fastball ranged 79-82. Flooded the zone with the fastball. Two spin pitches, both with the makings of at least average bend. Slider sat 71-72 with some length to the side to side movement. The curveball works with 12/6, downer type action, rolling through its arc at 64-65. Flashed feel for both spin pitches. The change-up was a little firm with some stiffness through release. Some arm side run at 76-79. Rocker to the side and slides to the 1B side of the rubber. Lifts to the mid-chest while loading the backside and front hip with a slight knee turn. Works level and on-line, landing with a square front foot. Front side shoulder can be quick to get off his line. Long arm swing to an over-the-top slot.
Balanced setup from the right side with a wider base and his chest leaning over to the plate. Weight works back during the load with a short stride and quiet barrel. Quick hands and uses the whole field with above average barrel feel. Average bat speed with his exit velocity recorded at 82 mph. Active feet around the first base bag with average hands catching the ball in the center of his body. Accurate arm that topped at 70 mph. Recorded a 7.76 in the 60.
Lanky build at 5 foot 11, 160-pound with room to add strength. Slight side step, lifting to the top of the chest and loading the backside. Slightly closed at balance. Long arm swing to an over-the -top slot. Some effort with average arm speed. Lands just open on his line, with a square foot strike. Fastball has run out of the hand, ranging 75-78 with a spin rate at 1888 rpm. Straight change-up has deception out of the hand. Change at 74-75, 1256 rpm. Two different breaking balls with the curveball ranging 60-63. Slightly cast out of the hand, works with gradual 11/5 tilt and a spin rate peaking at 1769 rpm. Slider has cutter type action at 69-72.
Offensively he works from the right side with a balanced setup with his bat flat above his back shoulder. Uses a toe tap during his load with quiet hands. Gap to gap approach with a short barrel path to the ball. Quick hands with feel for his barrel. Average bat speed with his exit velocity recorded at 81 mph. Active feet with some feel around the first base bag. Average hands with an accurate arm to that topped at 70 mph. Recorded a 7.61 in the 60.
