North Carolina commit. Monstrous build at 6 foot 4, 245-pounds. Loud batting practice, showcasing his power, while posting an exit velocity of 104 mph. Balanced, slightly open setup from the right side of the plate. Toe tap during the load, with some dive into the plate and calm hands. Fast bat with strength in his swing. Really gets his bat through the ball with power to all fields. Plays light on his feet for his size at first base. Soft hands with a short arm action. Took it easy on his arm after his morning bullpen.
Strike thrower on the mound with feel for three pitches. Slow tempo with little effort to the delivery, some lean to the first base side and tucked leg lift working to the bottom of his chest. In line to the plate with a long arm action, throwing from a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 85-87 mph, touching 88 mph on his last pitch of the day. Tight breaking ball at times working at 75-77 mph. Changeup has sink at 74-76 mph. Recorded a 4.1 in the 30-yard dash.
