3/09/22

At 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, Siravo, an LSU recruit, has an ideal frame for starting. He’s aggressive and goes right after hitters with a heavy, sinking 90-94 mph fastball. His 82-84 mph slider is deceptive because he throws it with tight spin and sharp, late break. Siravo has feel for a changeup, throwing it with deception and sink. He throws strikes with all three pitches and possesses the strength and athleticism to repeat his delivery consistently. Siravo is another guy who projects to have command of three quality pitches, and it’s easy to envision the right-hander gaining more velocity as he continues to mature. He has the look of a middle-of-rotation arm at the Major League level.

12/31/21

Siravo paired with lefty Kade Bragg to give Weaterhford a dynamic top-of-the-rotation tandem in 2021, when the then-freshman went 8-3 with a 3.17 ERA and 103/33 K/BB over 76 2/3 frames (15 GS). He encored with an impressive turn in the Cape Cod League, making seven strong starts for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. At 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, Siravo features a strong, athletic frame. The LSU commit employs an over-the-top delivery that enables him to create leverage on his 93-95 mph fastball, causing the ball to jump out of his hand and get on hitters quickly, with some late action in the zone. Though he shows the ability to dominate with his fastball, Siravo also can pile up whiffs with an 80-84 slider with sharp, late diving action and can turn over a quality changeup. The right-hander has a big up arrow next to his name after cementing as a top-tier JUCO Draft prospect in '21.

7/20/21

Cape Cod- After completing an impressive freshman year at Weatherford College that included a 12.09 K/9 rate over 15 starts and an 8-3 record, Siravo has stood out as the most complete pitcher on the Harbor Hawks roster this summer. True to his 6-foot-4, 248-pound workhorse build, the 19-year-old righty has followed up his 76.2 innings of work for Weatherford this spring with a team-leading 24.2 innings over six starts thus far for Hyannis. The big righty throws with intent, living 91-92 mph with his heater out of a high slot. He backs up the fastball with a low-80s changeup, low-80s slider and an 11-to-5 curve that sits 75-77 mph. Siravo is heavily control over command at this point of his development, with his fastball and slider slightly ahead of the change piece and curve. At his best, Siravo can pound the zone with his fastball to work ahead before toggling between the heater and his slider or change-up later in the count (in my look the curve served mostly as a reset/change-of-pace offering). Though he lacks impact power in the arsenal, his repertoire is balanced enough, and executed well enough, to generally keep hitters off-balance at this level. Having already added a significant amount of mass over the past season, evaluators will be interested to see how the body continues to develop over the next year – perhaps with an accompanying bump in stuff.

3/11/17

6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed pitcher and outfielder. The approach in the outfield is done properly and he showed good athleticsm. Threw 81 mph from the outfield with carry to the ball. Ran a 6.93 sixty at the event. Bat exit velocity of 78 mph. Sets up with his feet even and front foot slightly open to start. Closes the front foot down as the ball is approaching, stepping into the swing. The path is in and out of the strike zone, needs to be flattened. The hands are strong and the life in the barrel is excellent. On the mound, pitches out of a high ¾ arm slot. The delivery is off line as he pull the front shoulder off track. The glove has pull to it, front shoulder sinking, causing the slot to raise up. The arm itself is fast and clean, with good leverage. The fastball touched 78 mph with a downhill plane. The breaking pitch 61 mph, needs more fastball hand speed to the pitch. The changeup is a work in progress, sitting at 65 mph. Big follow for me, good athlete, leverage and a very good skill set.
