In the outfield, Mitchell was aggressive in his approach but was able to control his body. Higher frontside and longer arm action on throws. Top positional velocity recorded at 76 MPH.
Mitchell has a lean and athletic frame at 6-foot, 158-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.88 seconds and recorded an exit velo of 88 MPH. Offensively, starts in a tall and balanced stance. Hands are high and create pre pitch rhythm. Small stride. Hands move slightly backwards during his load while raising his bat angle. Gets his hands out front and is able to create consistent contact to the opposite field. Recorded a top positional velo of 78 MPH in the outfield. Small, choppy steps in his approach to the ball. Fields outside of his front foot. Does not waste time in getting rid of the baseball.
