WWBA Underclass 10/7/16
Havlicek has a tall, lean and athletic build at 6-foot-4 200-pounds. Sat 87-88 for the majority of his outing. Flashed a hard slider at 77-78 with 11/5 depth. Drop and drive type pitcher. Back side collapses to help him get some explosiveness down the mound. Threw three innings, allowed two hits, one walk, and struck out five.

10/18/15 --
Havlicek pitched early in some of the day's coldest weather. The weather may have been a reason for the cold start but he heated up nicely. The VaTech commit pitched two innings with three punch outs while giving up three hits. His fastball was 82-84 miles-per-hour with arm side life and his breaking ball showed more of a sharp 11-to-5 action at 71-75 MPH and when thrown with two strikes, showed plus-plus shape and action.
9/20/15 --  Havlicek is a highly projectable 6-foot-5, 180 pounds. He pitches with good tempo and rhythm; accomplishes good pevlic loading and glove side expansion. He pitches with short, fast elbow climb arm action and has a small cup of the wrist at the bottom of his arm swing. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and repeats release point well. His fastball was in the 83-87 mile-per-hour range and his slider was sharp with two-plane tilt at 73-76 MPH. Highest level prospect who is  already committed to Virginia Tech.
4/7/16 -  Already ranked #4 in our 2018 rankings, Havlicek stands at 6-foot-5, 190-pounds. Against Ramapo he sat 83-84 and bumped 85 several times, on a very sloppy day of baseball. Havlicek shows very good pitchability with his fastball, and has very good downward angle. He uses a high arm slot, with his glove side extending out at a parallel plane to the ground. He sinks a little in his back side as he continues down the mound, providing extra force. He lands strong on his front leg, showing superior balance and a good feel for his windup and body already at a young age. He shows plus arm speed on his breaking ball, which was very sharp in the first couple innings of his outing.
