Petrosino has a broad-shouldered, athletic build at 5-foot-10 175-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.72-seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 90 MPH. At the plate, Petrosino starts in a slightly opened stance with bat just above back shoulder, parallel to the ground. As pitch comes in, Petrosino uses a weight exchange and foot stride tos tart swing and hands load up and back. Quiet, controlled but quick barrel path through the zone. Starts in a tall, narrow stance with hands and bat resting on shoulder. Athletic weight transfer for lower body load started by a small stride. Hands show quickness to the ball. Defensively- athletic and smooth movements at 2B and SS. Throws from low-3/4 angle with some armside run.

Petrosino is a physically built 5-foot-9 155-pound middle infielder. Ran a 7.03 60 yard dash and had an Exit Velocity of 87, which was good for top three in the whole event. Took one of the more impressive batting practices, peppering the gaps with line drives. Stands in the box with feet close together and slightly opened. Uses a short stride and vicious hip torque for power. Stance is overall very quiet, but controlled and balanced. Hands and hips explode through the ball. Had one of the better days at bat during the simulated game, doubling twice to deep left center field. Fielding- Athletic in the field, Petrosino can play 2B, SS, or 3B. Soft hands and clean, quick exhange, Petrosino throws to first were clocked at 78 MPH. Varies between low-3/4 and 3/4 arm slots. Occasionally throws tail to the arm-side because of arm slot. Throws had carry.
