Lanky and athletic build at 6-foot-2, 160-pounds. He will fill out and add velo with more muscle. Throws from a high 3/4 arm lot and displayed a loose, clean arm action with above average arm speed. St. John III uses fluid mechanics and a solid, repeatable tempo. Lands slightly closed and uses this to generate torque in his upper body. Displayed the ability to repeat mechanics. Ran his fastball up to 82 MPH and sat mostly 79-82 MPH with it. Curveball had 11-6 shape and late vertical tilt at 68-70 MPH. He was able to consistently locate his CB at the bottom of the zone. St. John III maintained arm speed on his changeup and had late run on it at 71-72 MPH.
