Creates some rhythm in hands and arms prepitch. Quiet with his load sequence, small foot stride to start swing. Hands load down and back. Line drive hitter with gap to gap potential as he continues to grow. Defensively- smooth, athletic actions at SS, throws from a high-3/4 slot. Velocity across the infield topped at 78 MPH. Throws were on a line with backspin to 1B. Exchange and footwork are clean and quick. Soft, athletic hands. On the mound – fastball topped at 82 MPH, sat mostly 79-81. Curveball had smaller, cutter-like 11/5 shape at 72-73. Loose, effortless delivery. Clean, repeatable and controlled mechanics from a high-3/4 angle. Taller balance point – tall/fall type pitcher going down the mound. Lands square to homeplate, stiff front landing leg on release and finish.
