7/16/15 – Petrosino stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 180 pounds. He has an athletic build capable of gaining strength. The left-hander pitched largely from a high ¾ arm slot and a long traditional arm action. He pitches with average tempo and some rhythm and displayed the ability to repeat mechanics. He did occasionally pull off early to his glove side which limited his ability to consistently find the bottom third of the strike zone. His velocity ranged between 79-82 miles-per-hour with some slight arm side run when throwing to his arm side. He had a big breaking curveball which ranged between 69-72 MPH. He also showcased a changeup with some arm side run at 69-71 MPH. Petrosino also flashed the ability to throw from a sidearm arm slot between 77 and 79. His arm action showed some added life from this slot and the arm side run generated could play very well at the next level.
