Stokes possesses a lean and athletic build at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.00 seconds, along with a top exit velo of 84 MPH. Offensively, starts in an even stance with a wide base. Hands by his back shoulder, create some rhythm. Inverts his front foot during a toe tap. Simple stroke, hit to all fields. Top infield velo of 76 MPH. Fields out front, quick transfer and immediate release. Works around the ball. Short arm action.
Physical- Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 170lbs build. 7.21 runner in the 60.
Offensively- Starts in an upright stance with a wide base and his hands in front of his body, just above his shoulders. Works the hands back on load along with a weight shift into the back leg during his timing mechanism. Gets the foot down and the hands fire into the zone. Short, simple bat path yielding many hard hit line drives. Extends well through contact and finishes the swing one-handed. Max exit velo of 91 MPH.
Defensively- Uses a small prep hop for timing, shows smooth, athletic feet on his approach to the ball. Plays on time with feel for his actions and shows soft, sure hands up the middle. Plays well on the move with fluidity in all of his actions. Uses a short arm stroke with a high ¾ arm slot.
5-foot-11, 160-pound projectable frame. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.09. Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a small leg kick just before his swing. Has short simple swing plane and has good extension on his finish. Through his round he found a few barrels. Line drive approach. Stokes had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Above average in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 80 mph; has athletic smooth feet, a clean fluid exchange and twitchy soft hands.
