7/16/15 – Guidice is an athletic 6-foot left-hander from Hillsborough HS. He pitches with very solid directional mechanics and a balanced landing. He occasionally cuts off to his glove side but consistency will come with added mound time. He pitches with good tempo throughout his ride down the slope. He pitched from a ¾ arm slot and a long arm swing. He struggled some early with command but it firmed up nicely as the inning progressed. His fastball ranged between 75 and 78 miles-per-hour and had nice run and some sink to his arm side. He also showed some spin potential on a curveball with 11-to-5 shape (64-66). He could firm up the pitch with added arm speed. Overall, he showed a nice two-pitch mix and should be able to gain some velocity.
