Bat speed was explosive, had upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Was able to create loud contact and found multiple barrels.Gap to gap approach. Walewander showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 92 mph. He produced a position velocity of 73 mph during throw downs; had soft hands, a quick exchange and athletic consistent footwork. Quiet setup with some flexibility. While catching, he produced a pop time of 2.03-2.20. Used a short arm action with an-over-the-top slot. One of the top overall performers from the event.
