McBride has a lean and athletic build at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.19 seconds with an exit velo of 91 MPH. Balanced stance, slight bend in the knees. Hands start high and move directly downwards during his load. Smooth weight transfer. Direct path to the ball. Extension out in front of the zone. Line drive pop with gap-to-gap potential. Behind the plate, recorded a velo of 74 MPH on throws as well as pop times ranging from 1.95-2.10 seconds. Quick, immediate transfer. Feet stay in line with his target. Compact AA, accurate throws.
5-foot-10, 170lb lean frame with twitch present; 7.03 runner in the 60 yard dash. At the plate, McBride starts with an open front foot and feet spread wide. Pairs all that with hands up by the back shoulder with the barrel tilted to the pitcher. Uses a slight weight shift on the back foot while the front foot hovers and then slams the front foot down and pushes his weight into the pitch. Blocks the energy off nicely with a strong front side that allows the hands and back hip to shoot into the zone. Swings slightly downhill with some pick up at the end of the swing, registered a 91 MPH max exit velo. Behind the dish, McBride sits low in the crouch and receives with a soft glove taking the pitch into his chest. Moves forward out of the crouch on his throws to second, popped a 1.87-1.99 pop time with a 75 MPH arm strength from the crouch. Uses a quick transfer and a strong lower half to aid in his exceptional pop time.
