Body: 5-foot-11, 155 pounds.
Defense: OF. Athletic, confident actions. Clean, fluid routes to and through the ball. Feet work well to get him on line. Excellent first step. CF type.
Arm: RH. 87 mph. Quick, loose arm. Carry with some accuracy.
Hit: RH. Athletic, open set up. Medium, hanging leg kick that gets down on time. Coil type load. Level swing path with lift through extension. Line drive producer when on time. Flashes of power potential, especially to the pull side.
Power: 90.37 mph Exit Velocity via TrackMan.
Run: 6.86 Laser Timed
Delivery: Ahthlteic, compact delivery. Works with pace. Rhythmic toe tap into high peaking leg kick. Some coil at peak. Stays tall throughout. Lands on line with balanced finish over his front side.
Arm Action: RH. Loose, quick arm. Works primarily out of high ¾. Flashed his ability to drop down on his breaking ball to vary look.
FB: 80-83 mph. Up to 83.20 mph. Works downhill. Tends to gear up. Improving command.
SL: 67-70 mph. Drops down to get sweep action.
CB: 68-71 mph. 11/5 shape. Throws with conviction. Works well off his FB.
Pollack has a smaller frame, with quick athletic actions, indicated by his 60 time, 7.18 seconds. His quickness was seen offensively in both his exit velocity as well as bat speed demonstrated during batting practice. Once he found his rhythm, he showed a compact swing with line drive approach. His bat plane was little steep at times, moving quickly in and out of the zone with a tendency to cut the baseball. He threw well for his present size and strength from the infield as well as the outfield with accurate throws. He funneled the ball well in the infield, showing a solid feel for fielding mechanics and foot work. Although Pollack’s athleticism and quickness will provide utility look for him to play on the dirt in the future.
Aiden displayed a 3 pitch mix of FB, CB, CH. The FB worked 68-70 along with CB 56-58 and CH 63-65. A high 3/4 arm slot allowed for good 1/7 shape to CB. Delivery is methodical and deliberate with a slight closed stride. Location of all pitches was good showing ability to fill the zone consistently. Future development will come with added strength as Aiden matures.
