2/10/19 -Lanky, 6-foot-3, 175, Vigil is a lean, projectable infielder that may grow himself right out of the middle infield. He has noticeable actions for the position and can vary arms slots to necessary throws. He has enough arm strength to play on the left side, but shear size and length to actions may move him to corner positions or profile on the mound at the next level. He posted a 6.9 60 time which displays his athleticism as he ran well underway. In the box, he stands tall with a well balance approach employing a small leg kick, striding even with a down to level path and high finish. He has projectable power, maintaining good posture and a proportionally short swing for a hitter with his levers. Vigil is an intriguing prospect and his athleticism will really take over when he stops growing. Keep an eye on this guy.
Vigil is a lean, projectable pitcher, throwing with a high ¾ arm action. He repeated an upright delivery with a solid feel for three pitches. An accomplished basketball player, Vigil was in the middle of a state basketball playoff run and took the time to come out and perform. His fastball was up to 78 but expect more this spring when in baseball shape. His curveball had consistent shape and he threw a solid changeup. The fastball and changeup display occasional straight fade. Keep a close eye on Vigil, he has the athleticism and present feel to make huge jumps in a short period of time.
