Slender, 6-foot-1 165, Serrano has an evenly proportioned frame. He throws from a high ¾ slot with feel for a 3-pitch mix. He repeats a delivery with a leg swing, relying heavily on command over stuff. The arm swing is short with extension out front on his arsenal of pitches. The fastball ranges 75-77. The curveball has good shape and the changeup showed sink.
Serrano showed reliable actions, fielding groundballs confidently. He had a feel for feeds and touch throws. Pure footspeed likely lends better to corner infield. At the plate, he has a simple approach with flat bat plane, maintaining balance throughout his swing. He strides mostly to an open flat foot hitting against a firmly-flexed front side. He makes consistent quality contact and is presently an average over power type bat.
