Physical: High-waisted, projectable 6-foot, 155lb frame. 7.87 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Bent, even stance as the hands operated with waving rhythm off of the shoulder. Utilized a barrel tip on-time with a leg-hang to initiate the swing through a flat, direct path towards extension. Finished with one-hand on the backside, promoting a consistent line-drive attack during batting practice (63% LD rate via Trackman). Mostly singles power with ability to work gap to gap in the approach; recorded a T81 mph bat-exit velocity with efficient, simple weight-shift into the front-side. More power coming as he continues adding strength.
Defensively: The third baseman featured medium/high posture on the approach, bending at the waist while presenting the glove hand on time out in front. Fielded with semi-soft actions, getting rid immediately from an accurate, H ¾ slot (71 mph arm). Lengthy strides and average pace across the diamond.
Pitching: RHP - Set up slightly towards the glove-side of the rubber as the hands stayed high by the chest the entire time. Utilized a medium stack position with consistent pace down the slope, breaking the hands on-time towards a fluid H ¾ slot (medium arm circle). The FB ranged from 70-72 mph for strikes to either side, mixing a sweeping 62-64 mph CB with feel to spin (lateral shape, 8 inches HM). Turned to a well-commanded 64-66 mph CH at 1638rpms landing at a 100% zone rate.
Physical: Long-legged, projectable 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame with developing feel for his body. 7.76 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, bent stance with an even setup as the hands started upright out in front of the shoulder at a high position. Utilized a barrel tip coupled with a lift and replace stride in order to initiate a leveraged approach through a flat path allowing for a 33% line drive rate during batting practice. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 80 mph per Trackman Baseball while hitting into a stiff front side with low effort in the swing. Has a chance to reach an interesting 17+ G’s of rotational acceleration (power ceiling) down the line.
Defensively: The third baseman featured early toe tap movements as the timing mechanism allowing him to stay on the toes, arrived on time in an upright position to the fielding window, fielded off the middle of his body, delivered the ball across the diamond out of a long, high ¾ slot (68 mph).
