6/28/21
Physical: Strong 6-foot-1, 210lb frame with powerful actions in the movements as well as durability found. 7.35 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, easy operation with the hands showing high and rhythmic to start. Chiseled lower half getting involved early, creating noticeable ground power in the swing that transferred up the chain into the barrel at the front of the plate. Produced lots of hard contact to the middle, left center side of the field, notching a 42% fly ball rate via Trackman with a T97 mph bat-exit velocity. These two metrics worked hand in hand to generate a near 370 foot batted ball distance at his peak, leaving the yard numerous times with available home run juice to pull. Middle of the order tendencies and a quick trigger in game-action.
Defensively: The third baseman featured choppy, active feet that played downhill to the baseball, arriving on time at a wide/balanced base and funneling smoothly inward. Feel for pace and smooth transfers at the belt line, releasing accurately from a H ¾ slot towards the target with ability to drop down on the run (T79 mph arm). Could handle the hot corner moving forward or could slide over to 1B if need be with the athleticism to do so.
