Allen Murphy, MIF, Bolivar-Richburg HS, NY (2016) 7/7/15 Stands at 5-foot-9, 145 pounds, with an athletic body build. Short path to the ball, mostly level bat plane, some extension out in front through contact, balanced swing, shoulder height finish. From the MIF he keeps the ball in front, wide stance, stays low head up, open glove face. Solid footwork, funnels as he’s moving, arm action is fluid, 81 mph arm strength, low-3/4 slot at times, gets through his throws.

In the infield he gets around the baseball fielding it to his glove side middle, uses an average transfer, throws with a back arm action from a mid ¾ slot at 74 mph. At the plate his approach is athletic and balanced. He uses a back load and small stride on the pitch for timing, has a pure balanced swing, bat path is on the incline with long extension after contact and a high finish. His exit velocity was 75 mph and his home to first time was 4.25. 6/21/14 Murphy stands 5-foot-9 145-pounds with a small athletic body. With the bat he swings from the left side with a balanced setup. Short left lift for timing and gets through the ball well. His bat path is level through the zone with a high finish. His exit velocity was 70 mph. In the field he gets around the baseball with a clean quick transfer at 75 mph. Shows quick footwork getting to the ball. He ran a 4.45 home to first.
