Physical: Large, advanced 6-foot-3, 225-pound frame with well above average strength in the movements generating plenty of power in all phases of the game. 8.40 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Tall, open stance with the barrel pointed straight up resting idle at the shoulder upon setup. Utilized some hand separation and a knee knock stride to initiate his swing through a violent, slightly uphill path working primarily to the pull-side with authority during batting practice. Generated advanced hip rotation through the point of contact getting towards a high finish on the backside allowing for lift to the LCF gap and occasional home run pop. Hit into a stiff front side and when on time dealt a ton of damage at the point of contact. Recorded a 96 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: Played with a moderately low center of gravity bending some at the waist with a soft glove hand working softly out in front. Demonstrated adequate footwork on balls hit to either side and got back to the bag on double play turns. The arm was accurate across the diamond out of a repeatable high ¾ slot. 1B - 78 mph
Pitching: RHP - Dropped down slightly to the side on the bump working out of a ¾ slot getting some arm-side run on a FB at 75-78 mph. Countered with a 64-68 mph CB showing more slider action than anything displaying late horizontal plane. Attacked the zone with both in any count.
Physical: 6-foot-3, 225-pounds. Tall, solid build. 7.87 runner in the 60; 4.84 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced stance with a wide base, bat rests on his back shoulder, small bat waggle along with a medium leg kick for timing Short barrel path with a direct barrel path working uphill after the point of contact, great use of lower half, finish high with one hand. Hard contact from gap to gap. 91 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Fields the ball upright, should work more from ground up, gets rid of the ball quickly. Short arm swing with a low 3/4 slot. INF - 79 MPH.
Pitching Delivery: Active feet through drop step up to high leg lift, sits into back leg while shoulders lean forward getting to consistent side arm release with a balanced follow through.
Arm Action: Drops straight down out of the glove, whippy side arm release.
FB: T75, 73-75 MPH. 4-seam has natural cut; 2-seam has arm side run.
CB: 63-64 MPH. Sharp 10-4 break.
At the plate, Collis stands in the box in a tall upright stance. Takes a backward stride before attacking the baseball. Slight lift at the point of contact. Displayed his power to the pull side during the batting practice portion. Defensively, Collis fields the ball slightly off center. Takes his time to gather himself when making throws across the infield. Throws from a mid 3/4 arm slot. On the mound, the right handed pitcher displayed a low effort repeatable delivery. Pitches from a mid 3/4 arm slot. Collis peaked at 77 MPH with the FB. Collis also works with a spike CB ranging from 64-66 MPH. Collis has a projectable frame and is a player to follow as he continues to develop.
