Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Physical: Lean, high waisted 6-foot, 175-pound frame with projectability in the build. 7.28 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Tall, straight up stance with a narrow setup as the hands started low while the barrel rested on his shoulder. Utilized a lift-and-replace stride to initiate a repeatable, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. The hands were repeatedly on plane early and whipped through contact while impacting the ball off of the front of the plate. Demonstrated a mostly pull-side approach during batting practice working from RCF to the RF line with plenty of head high line drives. Could lift the ball above the belt with a high finish, recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 88 mph according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary outfielder showcased rangy, lengthy movements during defensive evaluations with ability to play through the ball at the fielding window. Approached the ball off of the left side of his body and stayed relatively low with the posture while fielding with a soft glove hand. Used an accurate, high ¾ slot with a full arm circle displaying whip through the release. OF - 80 mph
Pitching: RHP - Side rocker step with a moderate tempo in the delivery, high leg lift slightly above the waist, gets directional towards the plate but opens the front side a little early creating minor first base side pull off, the arm played through a high ¾ slot creating natural cut on a 78-80 mph FB with 2175 max spin per Trackman Baseball. Mixed in a quality 68-70 mph CB with 11/5 shape creating depth with an average of 2138 RPM’s. Commanded a differently shaped 68-69 mph SL showing horizontal bite and countered with a 74-75 mph CH flashing slight cut.
