May 2018

The delivery is online and the slot is above 3/4. The fastball sat 81-83 mph, minimal arm side run to it. The spin pitch is a slider at 72-73 mph. The changeup is 74-75 mph with fade. Strike thrower who is around the plate often

Campus Series-Albany (July 18, 2017)
Houle checks in at 5-foot-11 175 pound  Pitching- The LHp has a repeatable delivery. Long arm action from a 3/4 slot; hides the ball well with a FB that sat 76-78 MPH with more in the tank. Feel for breaking ball as it featured some depth; slurve/slider action from 10-to-4. Perfect back door or back foot breaker. A few more MPH off his change will allow for a better differential to his change. Pitchability is there.

NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Sturdy 5-foot-11, 175-pound left-hander. Pitching - clean arm action, positive hip tilt at the balance point initiates full extension, late action on fastball at 75-76 MPH that touches 77 MPH, potential for more as he gets a comfortable rhythm, 10-to-4 shape on curveball at 70-71 MPH.
Mass. Pitcher's Analysis (March 8, 2017)

5-foot-10, 175-pound left-handed arm from the Adirondack Heat program. Pitching- The arm is clean, comes at you slightly above 3/4 . The delivery is athletic, small crossfire to the feet and solid tracking to the plate. Showed good control throughout the session with all 3 pitches. The fastball touched 79 mph with arm side action to it. The spin pitch is a slider and it’s a good one, 75 mph and sharp. The changeup is thrown correctly and should be an out pitch at the next level, sitting at 71 mph. Keep an eye on this arm as once it warms up and he lengthens out, the velocity should jump into the 80’s with ease. The 75 mph spin pitch is an indicator of that.

New York Games (June 27-29)
Houle sits at 5-foot-10; 160 pounds with an athletic lean body frame. Pitching- High leg kick with good separation to get into throwing position. Throws across his body finishing on 1B side of mound. Glove side is strong in motion. Could get a little more with a stronger lower body in mechanics. Can improve with added strength adjustments in lower body set up. Fastball topped at 74 mph and curveball showing 2/7 break was 66-67 mph.
