An athletic 5-foot-9, 170 pounds frame with a thick lower half. Ran a 7.41 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- stands in the box with a slightly open stance. Quick path to the ball. Handsy swing. Could use more of the lower half. Top exit velocity was 78 MPH. Defensively- sits back on the ball. Smooth transition actions, smooth arm action on throws across the infield. Top throwing velocity was 80 MPH. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery with a fast arm. Pitches with tempo. Plus command of a FB (84 MPH), and a CB with a tight spin at 69-71 MPH. Showed feel for a KN at 68-69 with late break down in the zone. The 2019 graduate is a must follow. Has athletic tools to make an impact at the college level.
ENY Senior Day (10/20/18)
Lean, wiry frame with athleticism at 5-foot-9 170 pounds. Offensively- Open setup with an upper body lean over the belt; quiet take back with some weight shift forward. Sweeping swing path with a high 2-handed finish. Defensively- Upright setup and and approach to the ball; tends to stay upright when fielding at 3B with loss of momentum when throwing. Looked more comfortable at SS having more time to breakdown and work through his release. Pitching- Center rubber setup with a side step pivot; mid-chest leg drive with a long and extended back swing. Works around front side at landing with a peel off to 1B. High 3/4 arm slot with FB that worked 79-81 MPH; flashed some 12-6 CB with late down action.
