Quick direct path to the baseball. Short compact swing. Stays balanced throughout the swing. Has upside with the bat. Defensively- the infielder has fast twitch actions. Gets rid of the baseball quickly. Fields the ball slightly off center. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery. Kurtz worked with a two pitch mix. FB peaked at 72 MPH. CB ranged from 55-57 MPH. Kurtz has upside both at the plate and on the mound. Kurtz will be one to follow as he continues to develop.
