East-West Battle (July 2017)
Long 6-foot-5 185 pound frame. Sat 82-85 MPH, touching an 86 MPH. CB was 69-70 MPH with a change at 77 MPH. Next level arm on the bump.
New York Games (June 27-29)
Stands 6-foot-5, 165-pounds with a lanky thin frame. Pitching- One of the top end arms in the 2018 class, sat 77-78 MPH during his outing at the NY Games. Showed a breaking ball around 66-67 MPH with good slide type action along with control of a 70-72 MPH change up. Mechanics are smooth and repeats a clean 3/4 arm slot. With an extremely projectable frame with plenty of room to fill out, Collins should be one of the better arms we see coming out of the gates next spring.
Preseason All-State (Feb. 28, 2016)
First time seeing Collins on the bump from his highly projectable frame standing 6-foot-5, 165-pounds. The 2018 graduate shows the makings of a next-level arm. Pitching - Delivery is faster-paced, quick knee-lift above his belt, fluid arm-action slightly back with a looseness to his arm that projects more velocity. Fastball currently sat 77-79 MPH, he did pop one 81 MPH with some life. Curveball could develop into an out-pitch with above average hand-speed and spin sitting 66. Very raw still but could easily see Collins making big strides over the next two seasons.

New York Games  (July 7-9, 2015)
Collins has a lean, taller frame at the plate. He uses a wide setup, back load and short stride on the pitch. Path is short to the ball, barrel stays mostly level through the zone with a balanced finish. Projectable next-level with the bat.
