8/21/19

A strong projectable frame at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall athletic stance. Has a slight double toe tap he uses from timing before attacking the baseball. Strong path to the baseball with natural bat whip through the hitting zone. Stays balanced throughout the swing. Defensively- the 3B displayed active footwork. Smooth funnel actions and throws the ball from a mid ¾ arm slot. Ward is a projectable player that has the arm strength to stick to the left side of the infield.

7/09/19

Demonstrated feel for an athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame with present strength. The right-handed hitter begins from a bent, even stance utilizing a toe-tap to initiate his swing. Solid sink into a strong lower-half allows for a slightly uphill bat-path upon impact. Adequate stretch throughout the swing allowed for barrel-whip in the zone, generating 87 mph bat-exit velocities with carry to the left center field gap. Displayed solid footwork during defensive evaluations with adequate range to both sides. Feet arrived on time consistently to the baseball setting up advantageous hops. A short, high ¾ arm-slot was used to record accurate 83 mph throws with some carry.
