Physical: Strong, durable 6-foot, 200lb frame with connected actions. 7.93 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, even stance as the hands operated calmly at the shoulder to start; utilized a lift and replace stride that worked directionally towards the pitcher, initiating the bat head through a flat, rotational path into the hitting zone. Produced leveraged on pitches middle-in, driving the ball to pull for distance (321 foot batted ball via Trackman, doubles power). Posted a 60% line drive rate with consistency to the LCF gap, adding a T90 mph bat-exit velocity at its peak with good sequencing up the chain.
Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated a lower, controlled crouch position at traditional, using a soft glove hand at the catch. Pop times ranged from 1.95-2.03 replacing the feet and getting over the front-side with pace in the transfers. Maintained fluidity in the arm swing at H ¾ slot, up to 70 mph max on the bag.
Physical: Large and physical 6-foot, 190-pound frame with advanced strength in the lower half. 7.94 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with loose hands starting with minor rhythm above the shoulder, utilized a lift and replace stride to initiate a short and accurate, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone with lift after contact. Was repeatedly on-plane with the ball early and rode that line with the hands long through extension. The lower half was powerful and adjustable creating enough juice to both gaps for present extra base hit prowess, peppered both the LCF and RCF gaps with line drives during batting practice. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 88 mph according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary catcher showed off feel for advanced receiving skills from a low crouch; consistently beat the ball to the spot with a soft glove hand. Pop times ranged from 2.07-2.16 using quick and directional straight line footwork coupled with fast transfers from glove to hand. The arm worked smoothly with above-average strength out of a short and quick, high ¾ slot. Created downward chest angles on either side of the plate while blocking allowing for recovery ability. C - 75 mph
