Monroe CC commit rated No. 129 in New York's class of 2016. Not afraid to attack the zone with with an upper 70's to low 80's fastball; able to spot slider on black to right-handed batters and two-seam runs away from left-handed batters; high percentage of ground ball outs; threw first-pitch strike to 19 of 30 batters; first time through the order wastes no time getting ahead; to plate time ranges from 1.1 - 1.25.

Johnson is the definition of a really good high-school pitcher. His velocity was only 77-79 mph (seen him up to 83) but his delivery is sound with rhythm, throws from a mid-high-slot and works both sides of the plate. Curveball spin is above average with 10/4 late shape at 67-69 mph. Reports of more velocity are coming in, he will have a chance to dial it up July 7-9 in the PBR NY Games for Team Genesee Valley.
