6-foot-1, 172-pounds with projection in the frame. Smooth actions defensivley, very confident, open clean glove out in front, arm is above average, multi arm-slots, next-level defender. Has a bounce in his step. Good rhythm and tempo in the box. Smooth swing with leverage. More power to come. Good bat speed. Fluid path throughout swing plane.
Preseason - West (February 19, 2018)

Campanelli stands a lean athletic 6-foot-1, 172-pounds with even more size gains to come. Improved his 60-yard dash time from a 7.43 to a 6.93. In the box he uses a wide stance, bat rest flat on his backside, back load and front stride for timing. Fluid swing plane, inclined path with a high finish, show signs of raw power to both gaps, slightly more to his pull side, 91 mph exit velocity off the tee, very impressed with his improvements at the plate. Defensively, slick fielding rangy defender, lightning quick release from multi-arm slots, arm strength was an impressive 88 mph up 4 mph since September.  He is starting to separate himself as one of the top middle defenders in the 2019 class in NY.
WNY All-Star Game (September 24, 2017)
Campanelli stands 6-foot-1, 165-pounds with a lanky loose build, frame that will fill-out. In the batters-box his setup is slightly crouched, narrow lower half with the barrel flat bouncing loosely on his shoulder. On the pitch he uses a knee lift for timing, slight load, barrel powers forward on a short path. Barrel plane is uphill, shows consistent contact with a high full extension. Exit velo was 85 mph. Defensively he is starting to separate himself as one of  the top defenders in the state. He uses a very active lower half, pronounced prep steps putting his body in a successful position, clean and quick with the glove-to-transfer, clean short release from a power 3/4-slot with plenty of carry and arm-strength (84 mph). Only knock on Campanelli currently is lack of high-end fast-twitch foot-speed. If he puts extra work towards improving his acceleration and agility, the ceiling could be endless for the 2019 MIF.
Campus Series-Oswego (August 15, 2017) Campanelli stands 6-foot-1, 156 -pounds from a projectable body frame, room for plenty growth. Offensively- Even setup, short, high knee lift with stride for timing. Shows signs of next-level feel with the bat. Short and compact to the ball, pull-side power, fluid swing with more power to come as he fills out. Exit velocity peaked at 85 MPH. Defensively- Very active lower half, clean glove, above average defender with some slick actions, mid ¾ slot with above average arm-strength at 81 MPH. True, next-level shortstop.
May 2017

6-foot with a sturdy frame, strong, quick hands at the plate, uses all fields and makes sound two-strike adjustments, aggressive on the basepaths with a home to first time of 4.25. Sure glove, above average range with quick transition from glove to throwing hand.

Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Campanelli checks in with a lanky 6-foot-0 152 pound frame with clean and free actions. He ran a 7.43 60. Offensively- Balance and event stance; bat flat on shoulder. Short take back of the hands, lifting the barrel to 45 degrees and a forward stride for timing. Stays behind the ball with and aggressive lower half; consistent short stroke into the zone with a long and exaggerated one -hand finish. Repeats effort with balance and as he gets stronger will reach his full power potential. 85 MPH exit velocity (+7 MPH improvement from 5 weeks ago) with middle of the field, line drive results.  Defensively- Showed above average lateral range with a quick release. Active feet with angled prep steps; works through the ball well. Could benefit from eating up more ground with a shuffle step through his throws on his forehands. Suitable left side arm for his age, peaking at 77 MPH.
Diamond Pro Workout (January 14, 2017)

Campanelli stands at 6-foot-0, 152 pounds on an athletic frame. Was clocked from home to first at 4.55 seconds. Offensively- Sets up with feet at shoulder width and hands above back shoulder. Bat is laid flat on shoulder with a small wiggle. Utilizes a foot lift stride that lands even. Back hip and shoulder attack the ball. Hands are short to the ball and full extension through contact. Posted an exit velocity of 78 MPH off the tee. Produced a lot of hard, line drive contact with a fluid and repeatable swing with above average balance. Defensively- Approaches ball with athletic actions. Feet are narrow on set up and catches ball in front of body with confident hands. Footwork was inconsistent on throws; could eat of more ground with a full out shuffle step. Had a positional throwing velocity of 76 MPH with a traditional ¾ arm slot. Made tough plays look easy with advanced actions for age.
