June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

60 Yard Dash:
7.14
Exit Velocity:
80
Positional Arm:
67
Pop-Time: 2.13-2.2

Shorter frame with a solid durable backstop build, athletic and runs well for the position posting a 7.14 60-yard dash. Quick arm take away and release, throws were accurate with a best pop time of 2.13, 67 mph arm-strenght. Slight open stance in the box during the setup, 80 mph bat speed off a tee, barrel path is long, stays balanced throughout the entire swing.
ENY All-Star Game (September 17, 2017) standing 5-foot-7, 160-pounds with a compact strong appearance. In the box he uses a side stance, slightly open with a short stride to even on the pitch. Very balanced approach with a simple compact swing path to the ball, level through contact, short finish that is rotational. 83 mph exit velocity off a tee. Catching, receives with an open target, blocks with quick footwork and body control. His catch and throw are quick with clean transfers and footwork, throws are accurate at 66 mph, pop-time of 2.21-2.28. Overall, arm strength should be the main focus this offseason as his overall tools are clean and sound. Added power and strength will help take him to another level.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)

Reisman, a 2019 right-handed hitting catcher, stands at 5-foot-7 and weighs 150 pounds, ran an impressive
6.93 60. which was 0.15 quicker than the previous event. Offensively- Starts with a square balanced lower half, knees collapsed slightly inside of the feet, while the hands begin slightly inside and even with the back shoulder and barrel of the bat nearly perpendicular to the ground. Initiates the swing with a subtle shift of weight to the back leg while the lead foot is lifted slightly striding minimally towards the pitcher while landing on the toe and hands are loaded, with little to no movement staying slightly inside the back shoulder with the barrel of the bat wrapped slightly towards the pitcher. During batting practice, peppered the ball from the pull side gap to the opposite field gap, displaying a compact hand path. With an ability to land on the lead foot completely, which would help the lead hip not pull and activate the swing, as well as more drive and rotation from the back hip, the exit velocity of 79 MPH should continue to increase (+7 MPH from October).  Defensively- Behind the plate, uses a triangular primary stance with good balance and athleticism. Receives the ball with a circular movement of the hand which causes the glove to catch the top half of the ball at times, if the hand and forearm relaxed as the pitch approaches the plate it would result in a better angle for the glove to receive the ball. On throws to second base, the transfer is made chest height from the center of the body, however the back foot is planted ahead of the transfer causing a bit of a disconnect between the upper and lower half. The lead arm is low and outside the body during the power position phase of the throw which causes a pulling action from the power position to the release. With a more efficient transfer and leg drive, the arm velocity of 64 MPH, but has been as high as 66 MPH at previous events, as well as a top pop time of 2.25, which was a personal best (2.28), should continue to improve.

Last Chance Preview (October 30, 2016)

Reisman, a 2019 right-handed hitting catcher, stands at 5-foot-6 and weighs 140 pounds, ran a 7.08 60. Offensively- Starts with a heavy weight shift to the backside knees collapsed inside of the feet while the hands are below and off the back shoulder slightly with the barrel of the bat nearly straight up.Gets to the launch phase of the swing using a moderate shift of weight to the back leg while the front foot is slightly lifted with a minimal stride towards the pitcher and the hands remain in the original starting point. During batting practice showed an approach to pepper the ball from gap to gap staying mostly in the center of the field. Allows the front hip to become dominant at times costing extension on the follow through. With some minor adjustments such as keeping the hands behind the rotation will improve on the exit velocity of 72 MPH recorded on the day.  Defensively-  Athletic primary setup evenly dispersing the weight with lose hips making it easy to sway and receive the ball quietly on the corners. Throws to second base could show more carry with an adjustment to stay lower when transferring the ball. Transfers the ball clean chest height in the center of the body, but the lead arm does move in sync with the throwing arm causing a delay with the throw. Also has a tendency to elevate when transferring the ball rather than getting a more athletic drive. Arm velocity was recorded at 66 MPH along with a best pop time of 2.28. Athletic catcher, with some adjustments could make significant improvements.
