8/7/18: St. John Fisher (Campus Series)
Wide build at 6-foot-0, 210 pounds, strong thick appearance. High leg kick, high hands, releases the ball from a high ¾ slot, fastball sits 77-78, CB 70-71 with late 12/5 shape, straight CH 69-71 one two  planes. 3B – Fields deep into his wide stance, funnel is fast and clean, arm-action is long in back and high ¾ slot, 82 mph across the diamond. Offensively – Rhythm and balance in hitting actions. Square set up to the pitcher. Level swing. More power to his pull-side. 86 mph exit velo.
Campus Series-St. Bonaventure (July 5, 2017)
Kane stands in at 5-foot-11, 171-pounds with a thick athletic frame. Ran a 5.22 home to first. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso hold the bat in front of the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick stride forward while his hands move back slightly into his hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation clearing the hips using his whole-body frame in the pitch. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with upward lift barrel action throughout into a high one-handed finish. Demonstrated potential gap to gap power during batting practice round with clean fluid swings. Recorded an exit velocity of 80 MPH. Defensively-  Good approach and footwork to the baseball. Clean fielding mechanics getting the ball into the chest with a quick transition. Tends to double tap the ball into the glove prior to the throw, will need to develop a more fluid transition. Whole fielding process could be quicker with more aggressive footwork towards throwing target, but will come with more development. Moves well left/right and in on the run with accurate throws. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 71 MPH. Pitching- Sets up in the middle of the rubber with a simple side step into a high leg raise above the hip crease. Breaks down hell with good separation into a high ¾ release point. Could engage lower half into the delivery with a better follow through to get in a good fielding position. Will come with more strength and development. Fastball range was 72-75 MPH and peaked at 76 MPH with arm side run. Curveball range is 66-69 with 12/6 action.
