It’s hard not to like Gaich. An undersized, grinder type who plays the game 100 mph at all times. A true switch hitter whos offensive skill set and 6.6 speed fit nicely at the top of the lineup. Defensively he could play short at the next level if need be but has a higher ceiling at second base. Starting to receive more and more attention from scouts. Committed to Yale shortly after the event.

A true switch hitter that can spray it from both sides. Gaich has shown impressive barrel feel each time we’ve seen him and has recently added strength to frame translating to added juice. In infield he has the skill set to stay in the middle with more of a second base look to him presently. D1 follow.

A true switch hitter at the plate. More pop than frame would suggest. Pre launch movements are fluid and efficient. Shows feel for the barrel as he takes a slightly downhill path to the baseball. A line drive approach with gap cababilities. Top of the lineup type guy. In the infield he profiles as a second baseman at the next level. Plays low and fast as he creates angles in his approach. Glove works well and he plays through the baseball with ease.

A switch hitter at the plate. From the right side he showed a simple, efficient loading sequence. Hands move back to launch prior to taking a flat path to the baseball. Bat speed is above average and the ball comes off his bat well. Consistently produced line drives in batting practice. From the left side he is very similar mechanically with more juice. More pop than frame would suggest. Produced backspin to all fields. Has the look of a future three-hole guy. Hit a true inside the park home run in game play. In the field, he flashed solid skills and athleticism. Very smooth footwork and a solid first step on the ball. Stayed low to and through the ball with a smooth transition into his throws. Flashed solid range with accurate throws across the infield with good velocity.
