A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.

Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Physical bat with above average bat speed. Unlocks well from the ground up, using body well. Scorched a few balls in BP through a pull side approach. Power: Flashed gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling. Field: In the outfield he plays with a controlled tempo too. plays through with ball skills on par for class. Throw: Over the top slot that plays in the outfield. Developing strength. Defensive Projection: TBD.
Scouting Notes: 2023 arm out of Northmont HS. Works with consistent tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Arm speed/strength developing. Drop/drive type actions with lower half. Fastball: Over the top release with downhill action through the zone. SHould see more velo down the road. Breaking Ball: Pops out of the hand. Gradual up/down action. Changeup: Very good sell with identical look to fastball out of the hand. Mostly true action. Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.

5-foot-11, 175-pound athletic, projectable body frame. In the outfield he has fluid footwork while approaching the baseball. Ball skills are on par for his age. Would like to see him incorporate more of a crow hop to help aid his throws. Throws with a clean arm action through a high ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 70 mph. From the mound he throws with minimal effort to his delivery, landing in a straight line at foot strike finishing with his momentum carrying towards home plate. Has developing arm speed coming through an upper ¾ slot. His fastball was thrown between 69-71 mph. Curveball has an 11/5 shape with mostly gradual break to it. Throws a slider that cuts across the zone with sink and tight break at 60-63 mph. Right-handed hitter starts with his weight more towards his back leg. Hands stay mostly quiet before swinging with a level bat path through the zone, finishing with a two-handed follow through. Recorded a top exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 7.23 60-yard dash.
