Alex Buschmann: 3B/RHP, (2023) Cincinnati Christian, OH. 5-foot-10, 148-pound. At the plate, Buschmann recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. (68.1 mph bat speed average). (24.5 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed is present, exhibits a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 69 mph; has a clean exchange, consistent feet, and firm hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Recorded a time of 7.49 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Threw his fastball 67-72 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1760; Avg 1721). His 11/5 curveball (64-65) shows early action. (Max spin 1838; Avg 1578). His changeup (66-66) shows slight action.
