Notes

Comments

6/18/19

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slower paced tempo on the mound. Drop/drive type that creates solid energy down the mound. High-¾ right-hander with looseness to his arm.
Fastball: 74-75 mph. Pitch shows natural cutting action. High spin rate guy, 2000-2200 rpms.
Curveball: 62-63 mph. 10/4, slurvish shape to it with big action.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

Body Type:  5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic frame.

Swing Mechanics:  Leg kick that engages his hands, and gets everything in sync.

Hit:  Level bat path with middle of the field approach. Balanced natural tools with both strength and speed for projecting more down the road.

Power:  Line drive guy right now.

Offensive Projection:  TBD.
Field: In the infield he plays light on his feet, taking direct routes to the baseball. Hands work well and he does a nice job of gaining ground before release.
Throw: Arm works well. Will see easy mphs as physical maturation takes its course.
Defensive Projection: MIF.

2/2/19
Body Type: 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a small back load with hands during slight leg kick for timing.
Hit: Compact stroke with a balanced arsenal of strength and bat speed. Path is uphill at times causing slight inconsistencies in barrel accuracy. Ball came off well when he connected.
Power: 77 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy. More pop than frame would suggest.
Offensive Projection: Top of Lineup.
Run: 4.33 H-1st.
Field: Looks athletic out there as he gets to the baseball with very quick feet. Ball skills are developing. Mechanically sound. Also worked out in the infield where he looks more natural as a defender. Very quick first step with mechanically sound footwork throughout. Really moves well out there. Solid defender.
Throw: 79 mph arm strength across the diamond. Mostly accurate with developing strength. Arm plays better in the infield.
Defensive Projection: MIF/LF/CF.

2/2/19 Pitching
Body Type: 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Athletic actions to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Arm works well with looseness to it through a high-¾ slot.
Fastball: 72-74 mph. Ball comes out well, appearing heavier than velo suggest. Shows physical signs of more velocity down the road.
Curveball: 61-62 mph. 11/5 shaped bender that has big, gradual action to it. Looks comfortable with the offering.
Slider: 60-62 mph.Runs into the breaking ball plane with some sharpness to it, especially when working glove side. Changes arm angle on the offering, dropping to more of a ¾ slot.
Pitchability: Strike thrower that showed the ability to locate all three offerings.
