Andrew Froelich: 1B/LHP, (2023) Revere, OH. 6-foot, 160-pound. During batting practice, Froelich had an exit velocity of 86 mph. Begins in a balanced crouched stance with a quick load, then uses a short stride. Had developing bat speed, an inside-out short swing plane and level finish. Up the middle approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 71 mph; has sure consistent hands, a quick exchange, and smooth feet. Used a loose arm action and a ¾ slot. Clocked a time of 7.54 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, used a long arm action with an over-the-top arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Athletic balance point. Threw his fastball 66-67 mph. Showed tailing action. (Max spin 1740; Avg 1670). Throws a sharp 12/6 curveball (60-63). (Max spin 1889; Avg 1653). He has tight fading action on his changeup (63-64).

Hit: Right-handed hitter that begins in an athletic, balanced set up. Simple, uptempo loading sequence. Bouncy, up and down hand movement, while using a toe-tap, short stride bottom half load for timing. Bat path is slightly downhill through the zone, with a varied ball flight from floor to ceiling. With see improvement with better engagement of the lower half and added physical development.

Field:Worked out from the 1B position. Flashed athleticism in lateral movement, while showcasing solid footwork. Good mover around the bag, while the ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Developing arm strength
Defensive Projection: 1B
Delivery Notes: Left-handed pitching prospect out of reveer. Drop and drive type guy whos arm comes through a near over the top slot. Arm is relatively clean with developing strength/speed.
Fastball: Developing velocity with present run/sink.
Breaking Ball: Pops out of the hand, 1/7 shape with gradual action.
Changeup: The better of the secondary offeirngs on this day. Maintains arm speed with heavy sink. Quality offeirng.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.
