Physical bat from the right side. Uses a back load with hands during his leg kick to get lower half involved. Level path through the zone with slight downhill tendencies at times. Run producer type with obvious strength and speed through the zone. Minor path issues at times and would be aided by adding loft to stroke. Young bat to follow. Functionally athletic in the infield with smooth hands and above average ball skills. Fringy lateral mobility for shortstop. Made great play up the middle in defensive workout. Two-way prospect. 5-foot-8, 165-pound strong frame. Didn’t get much of a look at him defensively but really stood out with the ability to swing the bat. Loading sequence can be rushed at times but timing wasn’t an issue for him on this day. Path is level and natural tools are well above average for class. Landed on a few balls in game, showing the ability to drive the ball with authority to pull side gap. Run producer type.
