Ben Clark: C/2B, (2023) New Albany, OH. 5-foot-10, 165-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Clark's best exit velocity was 90 mph. Begins in a balanced stance with a smooth quick load, then uses a leg kick. Has above average bat speed and level swing plane. Movements laterally were athletic. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 78 mph; has a clean exchange, soft hands, and athletic consistent feet. Displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.91-1.97. Above average flexibility and narrow setup. On the mound, showed a quick arm action and a ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows decent effort. Has an athletic balance point. Threw his fastball 85-87 mph; shows arm side control and running action. Showed a 11/5 curveball (74-75) with plus action. Has fading action and arm side command on his changeup (82-83).

Hit:Smooth moves prior to launch. Aggressive launch with a level path to contact. Efficient stroke in general that plays to all fields. Regular line drive production in BP. Above 70mph bat speed according to blast. Power:Line drive pop with gap abilities. Offensive Projection:Multiple Roles. Max BP Exit Velocity:88 mph Max BP Distance: 311ft Field: Showed well behind the dish. Smoother actions with quick feet and above average exchange skills. Throw: Ball jumps, above average strength. Defensive Projection: C.

Body Type: 5-foot-7, 125-pound thin frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Simple load with minimal movement while keeping his hands loaded.
Hit:  Level bat path that works inside the baseball and goes to all fields. Produces backspin to the middle part of the field.
Power:  Line drive guy right now with more to come.
Offensive Projection:  TBD.
Field:  At the catcher position he has an open stance with quick feet.  Receives and blocks the baseball well.  Good feel back there. Uses good tempo in the infield with smoother actions throughout. Hands look reliable, displaying above average ball skills for class.
Throw:  High-3/4 righty that has a loose arm that will support easy velocity as strength arrives.
Defensive Projection:  C/OF.
