Billy Hill: SS/RHP, (2023) Fairborn, OH. 5-foot-7, 143-pound lean athletic build. (64.7 mph bat speed average). (17.2 mph hand speed average). Begins in an athletic crouched stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was above average, showed a flat swing plane and level finish. He found lots of barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle approach. Athletic while in the infield, made throws up to 76 mph; had a clean fluid exchange, next level hands, and athletic footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a ¾ slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Athletic on the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action with some arm speed. Stretch only drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Displays in line shoulders and a consistent balance point. Lands closed with recoil finish. Had some control and cutting action with heavy movement. (Max spin 1927; Avg 1797).
