Braxton Wheeler: C/1B, (2021) Cambridge, OH. 5-foot-8, 185-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Begins in an open athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a leg kick. Has average bat speed and short swing plane. Laterally, his movements were average. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 67 mph; had sure hands, consistent footwork, and a clean exchange. He produced a pop time of 2.11-2.23. Average flexibility and clean setup.
Braxton Wheeler: C/1B, (2021) Cambridge, OH. 5-foot-8, 185-pound. Capable during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. Bat speed is some and uses a level swing plane. Through his round he found some barrels. Line drive approach. Behind the plate, he produced a position velocity of 65 mph during throw downs; showed consistent hands, a twitchy exchange, and consistent feet. Had consistent pop times of 2.15-2.22. Calm setup with some flexibility. Recorded a time of 9.16 in the 60-yard dash.

Has a level swing plane and average bat speed. Line drive approach. While catching, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 71 mph; had consistent hands, athletic footwork, and a twitchy exchange. Produced pop times of 2.04-2.37. Has staggered setup. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.87.
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a leg kick timing trigger during slight back load to hands. Aggressive swinger that takes a level path to contact. All fields flight with more present pop to pull. Physical bat.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling.
Field: Physical presence behind the dish with feel for the position. Showed an above average, well-rounded skill set as a defender. More than serviceable catch/throw guy who showed the ability to block/receive.
Throw: Ball comes out well, slot fits the position, mostly accurate deliveries.
