 OF/2B, (2023) Beavercreek, OH. 5-foot-10, 160-pound. At the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 82 mph. (63.5 mph bat speed average). (21.1 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was efficient, had a short simple swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 73 mph; had consistent footwork, a natural exchange, and soft hands. Solid in the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 76 mph; had soft hands, consistent footwork, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.33.  (Max spin ; Avg ). 

Brayden King: 2B/OF, (2023) Beavercreek, OH. 5-foot-9, 145-pound. Athletic during batting practice, King's best exit velocity was 88 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a leg kick. Has a level swing plane and quick bat speed. Found multiple barrels through his round. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 70 mph; showed average feet, a natural exchange, and consistent hands. Capable in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 75 mph; had firm hands, a natural exchange, and average footwork. Capable on the mound, used an compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. Lands hard. Curveball (52-55 mph), changeup (60-64 mph).Sat with his fastball at 69-74 mph.

Hit: Lefty swinger with a simple approach mechanically. Compact stroke with more present speed than strength to hands. Young hitter with much more physical maturing to do. Impressed with the ability to square up the baseball. Solid follow.
Power: Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Top of lineup.

Field: Plays with an easy tempo in the infield. Moves under control throughout. Ball skills are developing.
Throw: Long back arm action through a near ¾ slots. More velo to come.

1/20/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Shows a young, immature frame. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. 
Fastball: Fastball was 67-70 mph and true through the zone.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1500-1700
Curveball: Breaking ball showed minimal bite or action at 53-55 mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1900-2000
Changeup: Changeup was 58-60 mph and showed some downward tumble at times.
Pitchability: Average feel for his three pitch mix.

Swing Mechanics: Left-handed hitter that uses a back load to hands during short stride for timing.
Hit: Linear stroke that has intent behind it. Can get around the ball at times but showed natural backspin abilities when he stayed inside the baseball. Barrel has some authoritative whip through the zone, getting through contact well.
Power: 69 mph exit velocity. Much more to come as he develops physically.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Run: 8.4 60-yard dash.
Field: Second baseman type with soft hands. Attacks the ball off the bat, cutting down distance prior to fielding. Ball skills are above average for class.
Throw: 62 mph arm strength to second base.

 
1/21/19 Pitching

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Threw from a ¾ arm slot with hints of a ‘drop and drive’ style of pitching.

Fastball: 60-62 mph fastball was mostly true through the zone.

Curveball: 54-56 mph breaking ball showed a true curveball type shape and action. Good spin on the pitch, quality offering.

Changeup: 55-57 mph changeup was mostly true through the zone.

Pitchability: Solid feel for his 3 pitch mix. Presently the breaking ball was clearly the most advanced of his two secondary offerings. Curveball shows the potential to be a good pitch.

Role: Role yet to be determined. Young prospect who will grow and mature physically.
