Notes

Comments

5/28/19

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 195-pound physical, athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes:
Smooth over the top arm action. Uses entire body well but could develop a more efficient lower half.
Fastball:
76-79 mph.
Curveball:
64-67 mph with 12/6 movement that compliments over the top arm action.
Pitchability:
Throws both pitches in the zone most of the time.
Additional Comments:
Quick and athletic frame that has the mental game down.

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 195-pound physical, athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics:
Simple, smooth load that leads to a balanced launch.
Hit:
Powerful stroke with obvious strength and speed behind it. Ball jumps off barrel and he can use the entire field. Has a chance to grow into some really power if he can add loft to stroke.
Power:
Easy gap abilities. Much more juice than 83 mph exit velocity would indicate.
Offensive Projection:
Middle of lineup.
Run:
4.53 H-1st.
Field:
Above average skill set over at first base. Moves well and brings athleticism to the position.
Throw:
More than enough arm for the spot.
Defensive Projection:
1B.

2/17/19 Pitching

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 195 pound physical build.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a stiff back leg with a long arm action.

Fastball: 77-80 mph. Stayed mostly straight with occasional arm side run.

Curveball: 62-64 mph. Filled up the zone with 11-5 shape.

Changeup: 68-69 mph. Stayed mostly straight. Still in development.

Pitchability: Was able to fill up the zone with all three pitches. Secondary pitches are still developing into consistently effective offerings.

Additional Comments: Increasing athleticism to already present strength, should help velocity increase.

2/17/19

Swing Mechanics: Balanced, slightly closed off stance from this hitter. Hand speed present as he gets to a level bat path going to make contact.

Hit: Stayed on several pitches driving them the other way. Greater contact created to the opposite field.

Power: 81 mph exit velocity. More left in his bat.

Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.

Run: 7.11 60-yard.
Field: Glovework shown over at first base has playable action as he keeps his feet moving through the baseball. Footwork shows quickness for his size too.

Throw: 74 mph across the diamond with accuracy to both second base turning two and throws to third base.

Defensive Projection: First base.

3/19/16
6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect. On the mound, he throws from a high ¾ to over the top slot. Long arm action with some wrapping on the back end. Regular effort to his delivery. Fastball is straight at 70-74 mph. Breaking ball is loopy with 12/6 action at 53-54 mph. Also mixes in a 61-62 mph changeup for strikes. Shows some sink to it. Will be aided by maintaining arm speed with the pitch. At the plate he able to create sufficient energy into contact through an aggressive stride forward. Hands stay relatively simple before firing the barrel through the zone on a level path. Exit velocity was impressive, at 82 mph and he ran a 7.38 60-yard dash.
