2/23/20

2/23/20 Position Player
Hit: Right handed hitter. Athletic, open set up in the box, with a smooth, fluid loading sequence. Present bat speed, while bat works slightly downhill. Was able to generate backspin to the gaps.
Power: 91 mph tee ev. Easy gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Field: Worked out as a SS and OF. Raw actions, with athletic ability and solid ball skills.
Throw: 83mph arm across the infield. Present arm strength.
Defensive Projection: UTL

2/23/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Right handed pitcher. Smooth, slightly uptempo delivery with short arm action from a high ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: 79-81mph. Was able to spot fastball well on both sides of the plate.
Curveball: 67-70mph. 11/5 sharp break with shape.
Changeup: 71-72mph. Maintained arm speed with developing fade action.

10/20/19

Swing Mechanics: Good athlete that moves well in the box.
Hit: Slightly downhill stroke with natural whip to the barrel. Very solid round, showing both burst and feel for contact. All fields ability. Gets better and better each time we see him.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles with athleticism and tools.
Field: Rangy defender with athleticism to actions. Looks comfortable out there with above average ball skills. Left side of the infield future likely with enough athleticism to move to the outfield if need be.
Throw: Loose arm that will continue to add mpohs as he adds strength.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.

2/17/19

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 150-pound athletic frame with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: High-¾ right-hander with good tempo to his delivery. Compact arm action with average arm speed. Delivery requires some effort.
Fastball: 77-79 mph. Relatively true through the zone. Worked both sides of the plate.
Curveball: 67-70 mph. 11/5 shaped breaking ball with a big shape to it. Looked comfortable with the offering.
Changeup: 71-72 mph. Developing feel for the offering. Tosses the pitch with fastball arm speed.
Pitchability: Looked very comfortable with fastball/breaking ball.

2/17/19

Swing Mechanics: Great swing from this righty starting out with an open stance getting back to balanced after striding. Bat speed produced with an uphill stroke.
Hit: Barrel gets through zone easily and stays on pitches to drive them on the barrel. Consistency was there.
Power: 80 mph exit velocity. Still some left in his tank.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Run: 7.06 60-yard.
Field: Hands presented well defensively as he fields it. Footwork showed nice lateral movements with progressing ability to work through the baseball leading to his throws.
Throw: 77 mph across the diamond. Threw with accuracy too.
Defensive Projection: Second base fit.

2/18/18

5-foot-11, 150--pound prospect with skinny frame. Starts squared up on the rubber. Takes rocker step to the outside of his body. Uses short arm action through high ¾ to over the top slot. Sat 72-74 mph with the fastball that stayed mostly true through the zone. Slurvy type breaking ball at 64-66 mph. Good two plane action. Changeup is like a BP fastball at 55-56. Fielded it well in the infield displaying a sure-handed look to him. Hands showed softness and development in coming through it. Footwork was average in taking angles to the ball. Throwing velocity across the diamond was 73 mph. Athleticism shows in the box. A righty swinger that creates balance and energy through efficient/well timed movements in loading sequence. Hands show present twitch with some wiry strength in there as well. Ball comes off well showing the ability to drive the gaps. Should see more pop as he fills out his very athletic frame.

7/05/17

On the mound the right-hander has a fluid, repeatable delivery. Lands slightly closed at first base with his momentum carrying him to the first base side as he finishes. Arm action is shorter with developing arm speed. Arm moves through a high-¾ slot and he offers a fastball/curveball combo. Fastball was mostly straight through the zone with run at times. Did a nice job of establishing the pitch to set up his breaker. Spins a big breaking curveball that works on an 11/5 plane. Used the pitch to put away hitters. Was at it’s best when he started it in the zone and breaks it off the plate. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Has very little gather prior to his aggressive stride. Uses a slight hands back load with his upper half. Swing is compact with solid barrel whip through the zone. Bat has some quickness to it and he showed gap pop to his pull side. More juice to come with maturity. In the infield he uses quick footwork approaching the baseball. Tends to field from heels in funnel. Looks more comfortable and athletic on the move. Arm and lateral mobility suggest he projects best at second base.
