Caleb Schuessler-Recker: C/1B, (2023) Eastwood, OH. 5-foot-11, 180-pound. Athletic at the plate, Schuessler-recker was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 93 mph.Began in an open tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a leg kick. Had a level swing plane, above average bat speed and level finish. In his round he found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle line drive approach. Behind the plate, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 72 mph. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 77 mph; has rhythmic feet, a natural clean exchange, and firm hands. Movements laterally were athletic. While catching, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 72 mph; recorded a pop time of 2.15-2.29. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 8.02.
Hit: Upright setup from the right side of the box. Noticeable burst through the zone/ball jumps when squared. Most natural flight came to the middle of the field.
Power: Physical dude with above average hand speed.
Offensive Projection: Table setter.

Max BP Distance: 290ft.
Field: Showed athleticism to his actions and quicker feet/exchange abilities behind the dish. Pop times will easily improve as arm strength does.
