Carter Hanson: 3B/RHP, (2023) Hilliard Bradley, OH. 6-foot-2, 190-pound. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 97 mph. Started in an athletic wide stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a short stride. Found multiple barrels in his rounds. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 82 mph; has a natural exchange, sure hands, and consistent feet. Used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.03. On the mound, Threw his fastball 81-83 mph.

In the infield, displayed a velocity of 82 mph. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.03. Solid on the mound, showed some arm speed, also used a long arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Displays in line shoulders with an consistent balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 81-83 mph.

Carter Hanson: 3B/RHP, (2023) Hilliard Bradley, OH. 6-foot-2, 190-pound. Athletic during batting practice, Hanson clocked an exit velocity of 92 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Had quick bat speed. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 79 mph; had soft hands, average footwork, and a natural fluid exchange. Athletic on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action while showing good arm speed. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed a tall balance point. Displayed a recoil finish Curveball (67-70 mph), changeup (71-74 mph).Sat with his fastball at 81-83 mph.

Hit: Athletic stroke from the right side. Loose, whippy with above average burst. Impressive hit tool to follow.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run producer.
Max Exit BP Exit Velocity: 95 mph.
Max BP Distance: 340 ft.
Field: In the infield he plays with smooth actions, above average ball skills, and quality lateral mobility.
Throw: Arm is a well above average tool for class.
Defensive Projection: CIF.

Scouting Notes: High follow on the mound. Works quickly with obvious looseness to arm. Very easy release. Up to 81 mph with much more on the way. Complements fastball with a playable breaking ball that should tighten up as he hits his impending velocity jump.
Fastball: 78-81 mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1994-2046
Breaking Ball: 64-66 mph.

Scouting Notes:Two-way prospect who stood out in all phases. On the mound he works quickly with good tempo and fills up the zone. Loose arm that will easily add mphs to his already live fastball as he fills out. Breaking ball was spun well and he was able to move it around the zone. Completing his repertoire was a changeup that was an above average offering as well. Legitimate three-pitch righty who quality stuff.
Fastball:80-83 mph.

Changeup: 68-69 mph.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Very , fluid look to him in the box. Swing is loose with natural whip through the zone. Checks a lot of boxes at the plate when talking about natural tools, barrel control, and feel for his movements.
Power:Easy gap pop that projects for more.
Offensive Projection: Run producer.
Max BP Exit:95 mph
Max BP Distance:352 ft
Field:Well-rounded player who had a solid performance at both corner spots as well. Free and easy actions. Hands work. Also showed a solid skill set behind the dish. You’re looking at an athelte who you can mold based off team need.
Throw:Clean, loose arm with jump out of the hand. Arm projects as a well above average tool.
Defensive Projection:3B.

2/17/20 Position Player
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Like the movements in the box. Simple lower half with a rhythmic bat tip prior to launch. Aggressive swinger with a feel for contact. All field capabilities.
Power: Balanced offering of strength and speed to stroke, both tools are above average for class. Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer traits.
Field: Rangy defender with smoother actions. Ball skills are above average for class.
Throw: Above average strength for class.
Defensive Projection: 3B.

2/17/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Arm to follow here. Frame is projectable and there is athleticism in there for sure. Loose, whippy arm that will continue to add mphs with maturity. Velo jump candidate for when everything comes together.
Fastball: Live pitch with more to come. 77-79 mph.
Fastball Spin Rates: 1800-2000.
Curveball: Slurvish look to it. Ball pops out of the hand with gradual action. 65-66 mph.
Curveball Spin Rates: 1400-1600.
Changeup: Maintains arm speed on the offering that has later run, dive to it.
Pitchability: In/out.

Body Type: 5-foot-10, 150-pound projectable frame.
Swing Mechanics: A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Simple lower half with a bat tip movement for barrel rhythm.
Hit: Level path with easy whip through the zone. Feel hitter who has a chance to be dynamic as he twitches up. Presently offers a balanced combination of strength and speed. Ball jumps, especially to pull side but he can use the whole field.
Power: Present gap abilities with much more to come.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer Upsie.
Field: Third baseman with the frame and skill set for the position. Smooth feet with reliable hands. Looks comfortable over there.
Throw: Loose, ¾ arm action that will easily add velocity as he fills out that frame.
Defensive Projection: Corner Guy. 


Body Type: 5-foot-10, 150-pound projectable frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Fluid actions on the mound. Tall and fall type guy with good direction down the mound. Loose, whippy arm that comes through a ¾ slot.
Fastball: 74-76 mph. Already respectable velo and projects for much more. Above average spin rate/very efficient. Says behind the well.
Curveball: 61-63 mph. 11/5 big breaking curveball with gradual action.
Pitchability: Throws strikes.
Additional Comments: Interesting follow. Tough matchup for hitters on both sides of the plate with arm angle and movement on the fastball. 


7/10/18
On the bump the right handed hurler with long limbs has a repeatable delivery requiring regular effort. Arm  action is long with extension on the backside. Works across his body at times creating a crossfire action. Directionally sound down the mound before finishing square toward home plate. Uses a ¾ slot that will sometimes drop a little lower. Fastball works well to both sides of the plate at 68-72 mph. Slurvy type offspeed pitch with gradual break at 59-61 mph. Two-way prospect. Starts in a taller setup before getting into his double tap load with lower half. Hands stay simple prior to accelerating the barrel through the zone on a slightly downhill path. Contact type hitter with line drive abilities. Swing has a balanced combination of strength and speed through the zone. A third baseman that uses short, quick footwork in his approach. Plays low, fielding the ball out in front of his body with adequate ball skills. Skill set is on par for class. A bit undersized for the typical first baseman but makes up for it with athleticism and ball skills. Moves off the bag with ease and can make plays in funnel and on the move. Solid defender.
