Charlie Scholvin: SS/2B, (2023) Olentangy Orange, OH. 5-foot-9, 165-pound athletic slim frame. Solid at the plate, Scholvin had an exit velocity of 89 mph. (63.4 mph bat speed average). (20.9 mph hand speed average). Began in a tall athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a short leg kick. Had a simple level swing plane and quick bat speed. Up the middle line drive approach. Solid athletic while in the infield, made throws up to 78 mph; had athletic fluid footwork, a fluid exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a quick arm action with a ¾ slot. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.31.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Very smooth. athletic load that leads to a balanced launch. Very solid round, lacing line drives gap to gap. High follow bat.
Power:Line drive pop w/much more to come.
Offensive Projection:Multiple Roles.
Field:One of the better infielders we saw in the group. Athletic feet with a feel for creating angles. Sure-handed. Solid showing.
