Chase Myers: RHP/3B, (2022) Avon, OH. 5-foot-10, 150-pound. Solid in the box, Myers had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a quick controlled load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed was efficient, and displayed a simple rotational swing plane. He barreled up some balls throughout his round. Line drive approach. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 78 mph; had a quick exchange, consistent hands, and quick footwork. Laterally, his movements were athletic. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.9. Solid on the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle with an quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Curveball (70-73 mph), changeup (64-67 mph), knuckle (67-69 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 81-82 mph.
Scouting Notes: Good looking arm out of Avon HS. Good athlete with a quick arm through a high-3/4 slot. Fastball/breaking ball guy who you could see a velocity jump from. Worked the fastball around the zone and breaking ball showed signs of sharpness. Also showed a solid knuckle ball with dance through the zone.
Fastball: 79-80mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1834-2076rpm.
Breaking Ball: 68-70mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1933-2058rpm.
Changeup: KN: 65mph.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a bat tip up top during small leg lift. Whippy stoke. Laced line drive to the middle of the field/pull side gap in BP. Showed strength through contact. Solid round.
Power:Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Table setter.
Field:Good athlete with quick feet over at third base. Plays with and uptempo/confident pace throughout sequence.
Throw:Clean arm with some jump out of the hand.
Defensive Projection:3B.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Uses a bat tip up top during small leg lift for timing. Level path with the ability to find contact often. Has some natural whip in there as well. Solid round.
Power:Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection:Top of lineup.

Max BP Distance:279 ft
Field:In the infield he plays with fluid actions and bounce to his step. Hands work well and glove is above average.
Throw:Respectable strength and accuracy.
Defensive Projection:3B.
Scouting Notes:2022 to follow. Uptempo delivery with some burst down the hill. Fast arm that will support added velo. Fastball moves around the zone with late life and he spun a tight breaker. Completing his repertoire is a changeup that looks playable.

Delivery Notes: Up tempo delivery that shows openness of front side early. ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: true through zone with no action at 83mph.
Curveball: Better offering at 11/5 break with decent bite. 73mph.
Changeup: Keeps arm speed the same with good arm side fade/sink at 76mph.
2/9/20 Position Player
Hit: Vertical stace with simple load and minimal movement. Shows an uphill bat path with a pull side tenancy. Natural ball flight to the middle part of the field.
Power: 84mph exit velo.
Offensive Projection: Line drive hitter.
Field: Strong in the outfield with quick footwork and stays down through throw. Infield looks more comfortable and natural with his footwork and approach.
Throw: 81mph from infield and 82mph from outfield.
Defensive Projection: INF
Body Type: 5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple load with minimal movement while keeping his hands loose and loaded.
Hit: Uphill bat path with a pull side approach. Natural ball flight to the middle part of the field.
Power: Line drive guy right now with more to come. Top exit velocity off the bat in BP was 75 mph.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: In the outfield he times feet well, allowing for consistent rhtyhm throughout paly through. Ball skills look on par for class. Also worked in the infield. Plays with quick feet, getting too and through the baseball in a timely fashion. Looks more natural in the infield.
Throw: Arm works. Should see easy velo gains down the road.
Defensive Projection: 3B/OF.
Body Type: 5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Smooth, athletic delivery with some effort. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a long arm action. High leg kick generates lower half momentum. Stays towards the plate through release.
Fastball: 77-80 mph. Comes in on a downhill plane. Lives in the lower half of the zone generating a decent amount of ground ball outs.
Curveball: 59-61 mph. 11-5 shape with gradual break.
Slider: 68-69 mph. 9-4 movement with some depth. Offering compliments his curveball by adding deception.
Changeup: 74-75 mph. Occasionally mixes in with fastball like arm speed. Changeup shows some fade.
Pitchability: Strike thrower with his whole repertoire. Lives in the lower half of the zone generating a good amount of ground balls.
1/12/19
Body Type: 5-foot-10, 140-pound thin frame with room to add.
Hit: Right-handed hitter with an upright setup. Simple load followed by downhill stroke. Compact swing with obvious hand speed. Can get around the ball at times. Should see more natural backspin as swing levels out.
Power: 67 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy with more pop than frame suggests.
Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup type with occasional gap abilities.
Run: 7.18 60-yard dash.
Field: Attacks the ball linearly off the bat. Moves light on his feet and shows soft hands through fielding. Ball skills on par for class.
Throw: 76 mph across the diamond. Accurate with developing arm strength.
Defensive Projection: INF/OF. Good athlete.
1/12/19 Pitching
Body Type: 5-foot-10, 140-pound thin frame with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Good tempo on the mound to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Loose arm action through a high-¾ slot. Shows above average arm speed for class.
Fastball: 73-77 mph with slight arm side action. Should see more velocity down the road as strength arrives.
Curveball: 65-66 mph. 11/5 gradual breaking bender. Showed feel for the offering.
Changeup: 64-66 mph. Uses near fastball arm speed on the offering that has some fade to it.
Pitchability: Showed flashes of locating all three.
